Title: Kicks gobbling thunder & mossberg 835
Post by: Browning4140 on March 10, 2016, 02:10:30 PM
Had a buddy find a kicks GT choke for my 835 at a store that was going out of business for $20 bucks. It is a .685 construction. Anybody had any luck with this choke and if so what she'll are you using?

I shoot a .680 kicks choke out of my Mossberg and I love it. I shoot 3 1/2" Winchester Supremes and its devastating. I haven't shot longbeards cause I hear too many bad things about close shots. I'll stick with the Win. Supremes

I also shoot a GT .680 with #6 3 1/2" Supremes.

A .685 choke tube is pretty open.

You will not know what you have until you shoot it on paper in your particular gun.  Then you can show us.

For some odd reason I can't get pictures to upload on here, it says the file is to large. But anyways at 40yds with that choke I put 238 pellets in a 10" circle using Winchester LBXR 3.5" number 6's.

That is impressive but i get even better with hevi 13 # 6's. I patterened a ton of shells over the years with this gun and those are by far the best i have found.
