Let's hear it, best mesh face mask? Looking at the underarmour version and cheaper versions. I have an Ol Tom mesh but it's not staying up on my face. Thanks!

Primos 3/4 spandex for those cool morning and i like the old HS Strut 3/4 mesh mask for hot days..i always carry 2 mask..i also carry 2 pair of gloves the old school black cotton for cool morning and the mesh type for hot days...i also carry a camo toboggan..
I have yet to find one that doesn't fog up my glasses. Tried contacts but can't wear them so I'm stuck with either face paint or fogged glasses on a wet spring morning. I hope somebody can suggest a good one....
Hey johnplesh...check out the Bunkerhead face mask .. it's a system that attaches to you cap and will stay off your face and i don't think with that you will have anymore problems with fog glasses..

that's funny I cut one up amidst my anger last year and dangled it from the bill of my cap. It worked but I couldn't see anything. Thanks for the suggestion I'll check it out!

I'll be honest I think almost all under armour stuff is way over price for what you get from socks to coats BUTTT their mesh face mask is the best ive ever used. light, comfortable, stays put when its up, doesn't bother me down around my neck wish i could get it in bottomland
This is from another thread:

The 2 best solutions I have found for the glass fogging problem are first, this specifically designed mask...

And the glass cleaning/treating product: PARKER'S PERFECT
This stuff really works great! I keep a small spray bottle and a cloth in my pocket all the time while afield. :icon_thumright:

Exactly what he said. The Under Armour face mask is overpriced but it's the only one that is comfortable to me.

Get someone to help you with a marker to mark the right places to cut the mask. Make small holes for your nostrils and mouth.
Another fan of the under armour mask.

Here's the el cheap O version. Pretty easy to make one
This is the ticket to keep it steady.(http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160313/7ffd4453147556f0d16186b6e60a8a28.jpg)
I really like the 3/4 mask from Natgear camo
I like the Under Armour, the first one I got was the better of two I have. Got the second as a spare, which is nice, but not as nice as the older one, which I believe they don't sell now?

Hunter Specialties 3/4 Flex Form mesh face mask for me.
Same here.....hard to improve on perfection.
Wear around my neck when not in use. Fully adjustable. Minimal fogging issues with eyeglasses because of the open mesh. Affordable. I always carry a spare.

The old pens woods 3/4 face mask, Unfortunately they dont make them any more and mine is about on its last leg.
I bought the under armour face mask and gloves last year. Overpriced but the nicest of each that I own!

Hunter Specialties 3/4 Flex Form mesh facemask for me.
It has a 1 1/2 to 2 inch piece of metal that forms around my nose and an elastic strap about midway from the top. These keep the mask in place and I can even look down without it creeping up my nose. Relatively cheap too.
Unless it is hot I keep it down around my neck when not in use. Not much movement to pull it up.
I like a loose mesh type mask, shows less of the human form and tight masks are hotter and uncomfortable for me.
X2. That's about all I use anymore. Even for bow hunting, I frequently use this same model if I'm not using paint at that point. Generally paint in bow season though.
I've had the same mask for over 15 years. It's called something like a "bag" or something. I would by another if I could find one. It's very big and generously cut.
Thanks mote1977!
I have a bunker head mask that's new but out of the pack. I'll mail it to someone who has glasses foging issues if they will just pay the shipping.
Send me a PM with your address and I'll mail you one
