Have been lurking around the site for over a year and been a member for only a week or so. Gotta say that the folks here are the most friendly, helpful, and down to earth of any hunting forum I've ever been on!! Thanks for all the info and advice from everyone so far and I hope my sob story hasn't turned anyone on me!!
I think in general true hard core turkey hunters are some of the nicest folks you will ever meet. They may be stingy with information sometimes until you prove you are just as hard core as them and will not infringe upon their hunting spots. Once you trust one another the information flows freely though.
I have found that it is a true brotherhood and kinship much like what Colonel Tom eludes too in his book the 10th legion.

Right on Farmboy, this is a good group. I consider many folks friends on here that I have not even met in person. Check out the devotionals and prayer requests too. Good stuff.

I've met some very nice guys here. Had a couple fellow hunters here send me hunting items on the free. The only thing I can say is that I was taught by my dad to be thankful to those fine humans. Passing on the friendliness and goodwill is the other thing that I've tried to do.

I couldn't agree more. I've only been a member here briefly but the immediate response of people willing to help you out on here opposed to other forums i'm on is awesome. Every forum has their "trolls" but this one seems to have done a good job with keeping it at a minimum. I was amazed at how much nicer people on here are.
