Title: Gobbling yet?
Post by: Buddy on February 28, 2016, 09:47:04 PM
Anyone hearing any gobbling in Monroe County  Alabama yet?  I know it's early but the season starts in 15 days.

Thanks they should be gobbling down here because we are quite a bit warmer down here.  I just hadn't had a chance to get out and listen.

Heard the first gobbles today in Arkansas.  Once at an owl and once at me hooting...then silence.  They need to wait a few more weeks.  Birds are still in bachelor groups.

Birds were gobbling good in East TN this morning. Listened to two longbeards hammering for about 30 minutes.
