Me and my turkey hunting buddy were talking about different turkey vests the other day.
Whats your favorite style vest?? Vest style or strap style??
Whats the most important feature in a vest for you?

X2. Most important feature is a bunch of pockets so i can carry all my stuff and a good cushion
Vest style for me. With a couple of large deep pockets.
Vest style for me more comfort than straps on long hauls but have been looking at some new vests and looking at strap style
Ol Tom I-Beam strap vest can't be beat!!! It has lots of pockets, really comfortable and will keep you cool! :z-winnersmiley:
strap type for me, plus its cooler. haven't tried the vest type so.
Straps, Ol Tom!
strap style, been using the same one since 1995. HS Strut in Realtree AP Brown
strap vest
Strap type for me and the most important part for me (if I have to choose one) is a nice soft seat.
I have always used the vest style but I think I am going to try a strap style this spring. I need to lighten my load.
TURKEYSLAYER 101
Strap vest predominately unless it is cold and I may wear a vest.
Strap type. Bucklick Creek strap type to be specific.
Straps. And I love the Bucklick Turkey Lounger. Sit comfortably anywhere with a backrest. No tree needed.
Vest style!
Love my new Super Elite III in MO Bottomland, great seat cushion ;D
Also love my old favorite, the Trek-Lite vest - I have two - long disco'ed, but they are great for the heat and for road trips.
My buddy's brand new I-Beam just fell apart over the weekend, didn't survive one hunt, worst vest he's ever had :(
Definitely a strap style, simple big pockets when it's hot. If cool weather I will use one of my vest type for a change.
I always wear a sport belt with a possibles bag and the innertube seat.
Strap vest. Gets hot down here in GA.
My favorite feature is well placed, properly sized pockets, and a vest that is built TOUGH.
My newest vest is the Russell version of the MO limbhanger. It meets all the criteria above.
vest style for me. Got my 3rd super elite vest this year. I am hard on them.
Straps for me.
super elite 3 for me. so far it's been my favorite vest :icon_thumright:
Super Elite III; it's great

FIGURES!! I just bought an I-Beam yesterday online at BPS. Havent got it yet, but was hoping to put it to good use in OH and TN.
Never have liked a vest way to bulky, I figure if I can't carry it in my pockets I don't need it!!
I like a vest the strap kind hurt my shoulders due to the fact that I carry way to much around in the woods with me
Lots of pockets to keep things apart and quiet. I just bought the Cabelas Tactical Tat'r II for my dad and I am JEALOUS!
Vest. I can't imagine a better vest than the Primos Gobbler Vest. I've been running that vest for years and it fits my needs perfectly.
Do not wear a vest, use a fanny pack designed for turkey hunters. Nice and light and easy to use. I take it off lay it on the ground next to my stool and all the calls are right there.
Strap Style. I love the Bucklick creek vest, IMO the best turkey hunting vest ever made. I bought a brand new one two years ago and gave it to my dad for fathers day, and in return he gave me his old one which has been around for awhile now. I wear it with pride, the vest has been in on many many kills. I Love It :you_rock:
super elite 3 for me. I've had mine since '06 and love it.
Ol' Tom Strap (the best). When cool Primos gobbler vest.
I like my HS strut S.U.V. Strap vest in the realtree APG HD. Has all the pockets and compartments a turkey hunter could ask for!Going on the second season with no problems.

I have always used an old Mossy oak strap vest I bought at a NWTF convention in 1996. I killed alot of birds with that old vest but I felt like 15 years was long enough and I bought a Field and Stream Premium turkey vest the other day at Dicks and love it. I can't believe the storage the thing has, and the seat is very nice.

Me too. Fanny pack is the way to go. Nice and light, no extra layers to make you sweat, and plenty of pockets. Can't beat it!
Cabelas Tactical TAT'R for me. Love it.

That's what I'm currently using as well. Mine is the old style with the olive colored shoulder pads.
