Title: Frank Cox yelpers
Post by: Will on February 19, 2016, 04:27:21 PM
Since there seems to be some new Frank Cox yelpers born and with many people on his list. I'm hoping people can post pictures of there Cox yelpers so we can have ideas of what different wood combos look like. I'll start with my four beginning with Desert Ironwood (2015), Cocobolo (2014), Mopane? I believe (2010) and African Blackwood (2013).

Starting with the most recent they seem to be thicker in the barrel, not sure if you guys have noticed for those that buy from year to year.

Thanks Will, do you notice any difference in the sound?

I think the difference in sound comes from me sometimes. I find it easier to use the thinner barrel calls for some reason. I can still play them all but find it easier. The Ironwood is very noticeable compared to the Mopane in barrel size but I guess everyone's hands are different so it would come down to personal preference. They all have kills except for the Ironwood.
