Does anyone happen to know the wood combos from the top 4 or 5 longboxes at Nashville this year?
I think a few of them had Bloodwood paddles with different wood boxes.
Bloodwood/butternut, snakewood butternut. Winner was bloodwood/butternut by Brent Stoner, B-ready calls
As mentioned, several with bloodwood paddles and I believe there were one or two boxes that were mineral stained poplar that placed in the longbox catagory.
Good to hear, I have a bloodwood paddle/curly cherry longbox on the way from Mike Crooks at Spring Creek :funnyturkey:
Thanks guys for the info.
The best sounding longbox I ran at the Convention was a Bloodwood/Walnut made by the Shoemakers.
I have a bloodwood/butternut on order from Frank Kruer but not sure I'll be up on his list before season.

I would not base a wood combo choice from what the judges picked at Nashville. They know not what they do....

Now, now Denny. You could get stoned for comments like that. But that's funny stuff right there.
