Been wanting to buy a rhino .660 for my 870, when I went to order it they have the option of the "older style" or the "new gen 2" available. Does anyone have any experience with the gen 2 rhino chokes? Are they improved over the original? It will be going in my 870 sps turkey/pred 21"bbl. Any info/testing appreciated before I order.
First I have heard this. I would recommend calling them and tell them what shell you plan on using and see what the recommend.
Humm interesting. I have two Rhino chokes. Both pattern the hevi #7 and the Mag blends very well out of my 11-87 sps-t with the 21" barrel. I do believe mine are .660 constriction. I also have one for my Winchester x-2. It dose very with the listed shells.
I sent them an email asking the difference between the G2 and the original, no reply.
GEN 2 is their newer 2015 version choke tube. It appears it has angular and elongated ports.
