Hey Friends,

Has anyone here hunted Caney Mountain WMA in Missouri? I have applied for a management hunt and was just curious?

I have hunted Caney Mtn. most of my life, I can tell you that it is nothing like it use to be about 15 years ago. With the introduction of managed hunts and wild hogs the turkey numbers have decreased significantly, but there are still some birds but be prepared to hike up and down some pretty steep and rocky terrain to get them. Oh and watch out for bears I stumbled upon a hibernating bear in a den last week.
