I've recently made the switch to First Lite gear (mainly for deer hunting). I was just curious about what First Lite pieces anybody wears for the spring turkey woods. Also, what patterns? ASAT of Fusion?
how is it for cold winter deer hunting ??
Wool is made for both hot and cold applications. The great thing about it is it keeps you warm when cold and it also keeps you cooler when it's hot. Some don't realize that and think it's just for cold weather though

I use FirstLite hooded chama as well as the kanab pant both in asat with no issue. I did buy the corrugated guide pant in fusion to try this season I like the feel of the new pant and think they will be even better then the kanab.
I have the merino wool long undies in Fusion. Like them alot for early season. Very lightweight but warm. Looking for a pair of pants for rainy days and have been considering the corrugated pant. Would welcome feedback on this pant from anyone who has tried it. Would probably get fusion pattern in the pant as well. I live in Michigan and the woods have usually started to green up pretty good when my season comes in. Also headed to western Nebraska 3rd week of April. Would like a pattern that would be OK for both situations and thinking the fusion pattern would work OK.
I wore kanabs in ASAT all season last year, first morning was frost covered and final afternoon was mid 80's

Kanabs and a 1/4 zip Llano for me. I'll throw a Labrador on top if it's chilly. All in Realtree Xtra.
