Title: Sadler McGraw/Champions Choice
Post by: gar on January 27, 2016, 02:19:59 PM
Season is coming and I'm sure everyone is taking inventory and getting ready to order new mouth calls. Do yourself a favor and give Sadler a try. He hand builds all of his calls and they are fantastic. The quality and consistency is something you can't get with mass production mouth calls. You can reach him here on OG or on his Facebook page.

Agreed! I haven't tried any yet, but did order some today. He was very helpful, taking time to tell me what calls would work best for me. Great guy to deal with.

Candyman,

What is Sadler's version of a ghost cut?

I guess I should have said I like his ghost cut call. It's like others, but I like the tension, fit and sound better than some others i have tried.  Turkeys like it too.

Is it a 2, 2 1/2 or 3 reed call?

My main ghost cut is a 2.5 reed call. with grey latex on top.  I did another ghost this year called the Red Line. It has Red Latex on top, but in the back of the cut out it has two very small dog ears that will give the call more rasp.

The original Grey top reed ghost is a middle of the road cut for yelping and kees.

My personal calls have some deeper dog ear cuts in the back of the cut out.
