Title: New Tube Call!
Post by: LX_Trkyhntr on March 29, 2011, 03:40:13 PM
A few weeks ago I was talking with shootum about needing to get a new tube call.  When I got to Preacher's place last week I noticed a tube that he was carrying.  When I asked about it he told me that he and his buddy Donnie made all sorts of tube calls.  Wednesday morning after our hunt we went over to Donnie's shop.  Donnie finished a pot call that he was working on, then built me a really fine walnut tube call!

Preacher and Donnie both are very skilled with running tube calls! :you_rock: :you_rock: :you_rock:  I on the other hand sound something between a turkey and a beagle caught in a steel trap. :begging:  I will keep working on it until I get it down again though! :icon_thumright:

Looks to be the perfect size.. Tubes are killers in the woods

Sent from my 10 year old Dell using my 2 pointer fingers.

I bought one from one of the OG call makers last year myself and my abilities are similar to your description.  I swore I'd be proficient with it last year and never stuck with it.  My kids even laugh at me.

Preacher said I was getting it down, but I think he was just being nice.  Probably wanting me to stop howling on it in his house! :TooFunny: :TooFunny: :TooFunny: :TooFunny: :TooFunny:
