Title: Quaker boy slate
Post by: Spitten and drummen on January 23, 2016, 11:38:56 AM
Needing help. I had a quaker slate call that I bought around 1990. Over the years it got misplaced between moving and other things. I killed several birds with it and it was one of those calls that had a knack of getting birds fired up. I can not remember what it was called. It was a walnut pot I believe with slate over plexiglass I think. It had little plastic plugs that you could insert into the sound holes on the back. It was also very thin. Does anyone know what the name of that call was. If I could find one , I would like to buy it. Thanks all

Can't remember the name, but I  think I've got one here someplace. I haven't seen it in quite a while, and It's possible it was one of the calls I gave to a young man near here that was just getting into turkey hunting several years ago. If I still have it and I can locate it, It's yours.

Is it the Quaker Boy Pro Classic slate? I've got one with two tuning "pegs" and the adjustable black acrylic striker if you're interested.
