Title: Need information about ff3
Post by: cluck on January 10, 2016, 04:30:10 PM
Please tell me if i am wrong. I want to mount a ff3 on a 20 gauge remington. I know it will need to be drill and tapped. I don't see any where on burris web site where every thing can be ordered as a complete kit for this 11-87 20gauge remington, not even a speedbead. Would like to use the protector that is an option that can be purchased. So it looks to me like there is three separate parts I need. I would need the main assembly which contains the red dot and battery. Then the optional protector then a base. Everything I read says a 336 base weather weaver or burris. They offer so many different parts that it's hard to know what to order. I sure would like to have some part numbers. I don't even know if I've covered everything. I put one with speedbead on my 870 remington with no trouble but mounting one on a 11-87 can be a pain trying to decide what parts I need. Many thanks for any information you can give me!!!            Cluck :gobble:

I put an FF3 on my 11-87 20 gauge, but without a protector.  For the lowest profile option, the base you want looks like this

http://swfa.com/Burris-FastFire-Mount-P12617.aspx (http://swfa.com/Burris-FastFire-Mount-P12617.aspx)

Burris part number 410333

However, unless something has changed, the only protector for the FF3 is the Picatinny Protector, which does not go with the 336 base.  You would need to get a weaver or picatinny base.
