Title: Primos GroundMax Blind
Post by: ground control on March 29, 2011, 03:00:37 AM
Just curious as to what others have experienced with Primos blinds. I got a "Vision" blind a few months back. Right from the start I had to do a lot of sewing. Threads were loose all over, stuff was sewn off location and so on. I finally got the blind sewn up, and this past weekend I was getting things ready to take my nephew on our youth hunt and the zipper on the blind bag blew out. The primary reason I got this blind was to use when he went with me and on days when it was raining. This weekend brought both. I called Primos, explained the many problems I had and that now I was in a bind. The lady I spoke with initially offered me to send the blind back and they would replace it. I told her that I needed it YESTERDAY, and she was very understanding and said that she would rush one out to me with a prepaid return packing slip and that when I got the new blind to return my old one. While this didn't get me out of the bind I was in, this was honestly the best she could do, which I was quite pleased with. I gotta be honest, I didn't expect that kind of cooperation, I figured they had gotten too big to take care of a problem like this. But they took care of it, as best they could. Just thought I'd put this out there that customer service hasn't gone completely the way of the buffalo.

I was looking at getting the PRIMOS Vision blind or the Predator Den blind next week but looking in the catalog you can't tell if there is much or if there is any shine to the blinds. I had seen them in the store months ago but the lighting was bad to see if there was a shine to them or not. How dose the Vision Blind look in the woods as far as if there is a sheen or shine to it?  Other then the problems with the seems everything else was working good for you?

Ground control, sounds like you got a bad egg. I guided out of a Vision all last year. Beat the pi$$ outta it and it held up nicely. Even got blown about 50yds and came out unscathed. I really enjoyed using it and I hate blinds. DD there's no shine to it. It's got a good dull fabric. Had it in the middle of fields and turkeys didn't even take notice. Not that they ever do. Good to hear they did their best to take care of you. When Brooks and Kieth sold the company to Primos, they wanted Primos to keep the same customer service they had instilled in the company since 95'. Simply put, if something breaks " we WILL fix it". And at no charge.

I've had a Predator Den for a few years and love it. Plenty of room for two hunters and is even better now that I put in the blind shelf.  :icon_thumright:

I had a primos ground max blind for 3 or 4 years and it worked pretty good. Just sold it a few weeks ago and got a double bull darkhorse. I know they are a little pricey but man the quality of the double bull is awesome. The fabric it is made of is twice as thick or more. Really the main reason i wanted one was bc I want to bowhunt out of it and it has a much better window system for that.
