To finally build some calls in your on shop finally got these finished up this morning and I got to say I'm pretty happy with them. All the frustration from building them was worth it when they were completed. They are from left to right yellow heart / mineral poplar, blood wood/ mineral poplar, and walnut/butternut. thanks for the look (http://i66.tinypic.com/2u4q5bq.jpg)

Curious what tool you used for the checkering? It turned out perfect and look exactly alike on all three.
Ricky I used a mill but you already knew that all your doing is trying to stir up trouble like you always do but your not going to get me worked up. Now for those who don't care what a man uses I'm very proud of how these calls turned out regardless of what one chooses to use it shouldn't matter. The end result is what we are after and that's a call that will talk turkey an kill turkey. I'm very excited about the direction I'm headed and I am greatful and I am thankful for the greatfriends who took the time to teach me I wouldn't be where I am with out them. I'm not where I want to be yet but I will get there in time. Once again thanks for the look and comments.
Impressive. You were trained by the best.

Couldn't agree more!! Great looking calls!! As someone who has never made my own call, I admire those with the drive to do so and wish you nothing but the best in your call making endeavors, just as I would hope everyone else should do.
Neal, Great looking boxes! glad to see you at it.
