Title: Family Tree Trough Call
Post by: TripleB on December 09, 2015, 12:17:48 AM
thought I would share the story of this call.
This Maple tree was planted in the early 70's (73 or 74) in my parents yard. I can remember going out in the woods and helping dig it up with dad and mom. 2 years ago this tree was dying in the top and mom wanted it cut down. so I got the saw out and cut it down. this is when I noticed this tree had some character in the wood. I decided I would get the log cut and make pepper grinders out of it for Christmas gifts for my family.
in 95 my wife's sister and husband bought some land and I talked with my dad about the house that was next to it. he told me that is where we dug the trees from that were in the yard. who would have ever thought 40+ years ago that they would dig trees on land your future wife's family would own 20+ years later.  my dad passed in 97 and we never got to turkey hunt together so I made this call for myself and its going with me this spring. so this is my Family Tree Trough call.

I know this was a little long. just wanted to share this with you all.
