Title: Sbe 2 ic .665 win hv #5s
Post by: Moorhouse10 on December 06, 2015, 09:20:11 PM
I decided to pattern my new benelli today, and at forty it put 101 in 10''. I know benellis aren't really a numbers gun, but could I get more numbers out of the win magnum 2 1/4 5's? I'm normally not a numbers kind of guy but since i joined the forum I have really got into patterning my gun.

I have had great luck with the Winchester Long Beard #5's , They seem to patter much better than the older Lead 5's and 6's outta my SBE2.

while i dont have a benelli i can say the longbeard #4s have patterned well for me. id also suggest trying double x shells if your not interested in the longbeards. i would however suggest staying away from fiocchi they patterened terribly for me
