Title: Cocking handle from Rob Roberts

Bought a cocking handle from Rob Roberts it is a tan gold color. What is the best way to paint it black and that it will last and not chip off.

I'd recommend that you give Rob a call and ask what he recommends. I'm sure he's had that question previously and can tell you what will and won't work.
