Title: Benelli M1
Post by: tomcat11-64 on September 21, 2015, 09:37:53 PM
Can anyone tell me good or bad on a Benelli M1 12ga?
Would like to know how they compare to the Benelli M2 or SBEII?
Thanks ~

The Benelli M1 is IMO the finest auto loader there is........I have several. You won't find a tougher more reliable gun, the M2 and SBE2 are good guns too, but the M1 is of better grade, and more sought after. If you have the choice I would get the earlier model. I have been shooting mine from everything to duck, deer, turkey, crow, rabbit, dove and you name it for over 15 years. You can't kill them

As has been said, it's an excellent shotgun. It uses the Mobil choke system and not the "crio" choke system but the i.d. of the bore is the same.

All Benelli shotguns can produce excellent turkey killing patterns.

Lastly, I've been shooting Benelli shotguns since 1991 when I bought my first SBE, I still have it and I own or have owned most of their other models. My favorites are the SBE and Vinci but the M1 or M2 would be right up there with those guns. You can't go wrong with a Benelli.

Thanks,
Clark

P.S. Be sure to "deep clean" the bore if you decide to purchase it.
