Is there any advantage in sound of a laminated pot versus a solid wood pot?
Some would tell you yes, others no. I know of some really good laminated pots out there. I prefer solid. I thinks its just personal preference. It's like the box call debate...sawn and glued or solid body. What do the birds like?

Not sure if there is or not but Pat Strawser makes a great laminated pot for sure.
The biggest thing I've noticed is it's easier to keep a laminated pot from cupping/warping while turning/sanding it. As for sound, I've heard great calls from both.
I agree with Al, I've got great sounding pots of both types.
I've also heard great sounds from both and I've heard some sound much better one way or the other.

I have been playing with laminates there has been some difference in measurements for sure. I like the looks of the laminates here's a glass over glass cherry with cedar laminates.
