I no this is a little early, but my wife and I
Are making our plans to go . Never been before
Could yall give us some suggestions on where to stay.
Any help appreciated
If ya got alot of money stay at the Gaylord ! If not there's plenty other places close by for about 1/3 of the price . :icon_thumright:
I would recommend the gaylord as well, a bit pricey but worth it for you and the wife and all you to do is walk down stairs to the convention. Also downtown Nashville is a flat rate $25 cab ride one way, plenty to eat and drink and sites to see. Its a great three to four day trip. We always drive which can be quite the adventure during the winter but that is what it is.

:agreed:
I've stayed at the Gaylord, convenient and plenty to do but for around $300 a night for everything it should be.
It looks like I'm going to be moving about 70 miles east of Nashville so maybe I should check this out. Forgive my ignorance, but is this a special NWTF banquet or just a local one? When is it? Do you need to buy tickets to get in? Anybody got a spare girlfriend, I don't like to go to these things by myself? ;D
Monty,
Its the one and only NWTF National convention, i wouldn't say banquet although there are a few banquet dinners, more like everything turkey and hunting you can handle. Google 2016 NWTF national convention or google previous years. Its a hoot, i guess i would say its the largest sports show in out country ,its in February.
Thanks, I'll definately check it out.

And you know this how, Ronnie? :goofball:
Hmm might be a little late now
Guess who. Lol
If you can worth it to stay at Opryland. My wife and I went downtown Sunday to eat and counted over 13 large cranes dotting Nashville skyline. Reports say 10,000/month moving to area. Lived here since '66 and she sure is a changing. Nashville is HOT. Traffic getting yuk. Traffic downtown is very challenging not enough parking with new convention center open. Lot to do if you like nightlife. Plenty new hotels downtown if you want to go that route probably take about 15 min to get to Opryland. Downtown hotels can be pricey as well but as they say welcome to the nfl
