I have been looking at info to see if this can be done.
Any help is much appreciated. Let me know if you have done this or if it can be done safely.

I'd recommend that you call John Mann at Mann & Son Sporting Goods 618.357.2911 and discuss it with him. He's been selling and working on Benelli shotguns since 1991.
