I'm wondering if I should have my FF3 camo dipped. Would it make sense for such a small sight?...is it even possible? (considering the adjustment screws, glass). Could it possibly ruin the sight? Have any of you done this? Thanks!
It would have to be totally waterproof because it would be submerged to apply the film. Those things are so small I probably would just leave it as is.
Talk to Don at Camo Solutions. He did my FF2 without any issues and it looks great. Like you, I was apprehensive that it would be ruined in the process, but he assured me that it wouldn't be a problem. He informed me that he has no issues dipping quality optics such as Burris, etc, but won't mess with the cheaper variety as they don't survive being submerged. If it can be done, Don will know.
What you need tone sure of is you don't get any film on the reflector where the laser projects on the viewing glass..........
You would want to do this just for the aesthetics?
They're so small that I wouldn't risk it.
Better yet, get the protector mount and dip it instead.
