Title: Good Snake Chaps
Post by: zelmo1 on July 07, 2015, 04:18:09 PM
I will need some snake chaps for my hunt next spring in Mo., Ks. and SD. I am a big guy, 6' 2" and 300 pounds, any suggestions. Thanks, Al Baker

Best chaps on the market IMO but not cheap. http://www.turtleskin.com/Snake-Chaps.aspx
Personally I'd go with a good pair of snake boots.

I doubt you'll have any trouble in those states with snakes. FL, LA, and TX maybe, but up there you should be fine.

If you plan to buy snake chaps look at stonecreekhounds.com. They make top quality handmade products. Right here in the good old USA.  They are made from the same patterns on the same equipment with the same material as the old Wick outdoor products. John Wick is a coon hunting legend and he started making these a lot of years ago. He has since retired and stone creek is continuing to make some of his products. To say I'm a fan is an understatement.
