Title: 835 factory fiber optic sights need input on changing just to a bead
Post by: bigcountry25 on July 04, 2015, 07:11:07 PM
If you take the factor fiber optic sights off an 835 and install a bead would it be accurate?  I have taken fiber sights off of one gun and it was way off.

Fibers optic  sights are fine and dandy but if one breaks in the field your hunt is over with a bead sight I would have less to go wrong but I want to make sure that the 835 is just as accurate with a bead sight. It is pre threaded for a front bead sight

Thanks!!!

I doubt the bead will shoot true, especially with an extended choke. Mine certainly doesn't.

Only way to know if it shoots to point of aim (POA)
is to try it with a bead.

All of my Mossberg barrels have shot low...or at least lower than I think they should.  However, you won't know until you try.
