Title: Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight
Post by: Spring Creek Calls on June 29, 2015, 10:33:47 AM
I'm turning my 60's era Model 37 into my late season turkey gun. Disassembled and cleaned the metal parts and in the process of refinishing the stock and forend. Have placed an order for Heavyweight 7's and Federal Pheasants Forever copper plated 7-1/2's, both in 2-3/4", that will be shot thru a 24" barrel and a Carlson .575 extended choke tube. A HiViz plain barrel sight will replace the original that was lost when I had the barrel reduced and threaded several years ago. This gun will be used only when the greenup occurs and the shots are close.

Killed my first gobbler with an M-37.  Great guns, especially for the uplands. Gil

This was my grouse gun. Cut the barrel to 24" and installed choke tubes several years ago.  It's light and fast.  Just not many grouse in my neck of the woods anymore. Will still see the poplar thickets minus the Carlson tube.
