This notice came to me a couple of days ago. Specific DOM are listed and once again it involves guns going off accidentally. As much as they have experienced this on rifles, it just seems that they would be sure that this problem was solved before offering such weapons.

The 887 is a real embarrassment for Remington and should never have been produced. After dealing w/ several of the guns w/ POI/POA issues, as well as numerous function, ejection problems, I won't even attempt to set one up for turkey hunting. I'll I can say is, "Run Forrest, Run!!"

Remingtons' reputation was suffering before this. I can't believe after all these years they can't make a gun that only goes off when the trigger is pulled. :P :bike2:
Had one for a short period of time that was JUNK!! Ejection problems big time! Sent it back to Remington and when I got it back it was still JUNK!!! I have had several new Remingtons and will not buy another new Remington because of way to many problems. Have several made in the 80's that I will never part with.

The 887 is garbage. Remington should have never built this shotgun. Everyone wants a thousand dollar shotgun that they only have to pay a couple hundred dollars for it and expect it to perform so Remington put out this embarrassment. Hopefully they will fix this major problem,but it should be taken off the shelf.
