Title: Walmart sale
Post by: Dtrkyman on May 26, 2015, 08:25:30 PM
Was just in a wal mart in New Mexico, crazy cheap calls, pot calls 4-5 bucks a box call for 5, 1 dollar mouth calls and turkey thug ammo for 2.50, hell if I hadn't flown out I would have bought all the thug ammo they had just for general use if needed, but I did not check any bags so none for me.

Grabbed a primos ghost cut mouth call for 3 bux, was 13 I believe!

Yes...in West Tenn all turkey calls were on sale...I pickup ammo, mouth calls and a nice cedar box call with walnut lid for 5 dollars...and it sounded great...

Took a buddy put and helped him tag his first bird in April.  Last weekend he bought enough dirt cheap turkey stuff at Wally to start his own sporting goods store.

I thought stores like Gander Mountain and Dick's kept hunting stuff out year round? I would expect that from Dick's because their stores usually aren't the best for hunting gear (in my opinion), but not from Gander Mountain. Of course, I have never actually been to a Gander Mountain, but who knows.

Gander Mountain was a hunting and shooting store 10 years ago, but now it is a gloried Walmart for outdoorsman with high prices.

Just spent 33 bucks at wallymart and got a pile of thugs 12 and 20 gauge and 2 boxes of hv xx 12.
At 2.50 a box . As far as the 20 gauge thug 5 , if not a good turkey pattern they will make a good pheasant load.
