Title: Rough season
Post by: longbeard20 on May 21, 2015, 06:25:07 PM
As MD season comes to a close this Saturday, it's been a tough, humbling and frustrating one!!
I've called birds in for co workers that couldn't get them to finish, but haven't seemed to be able to close the deal for myself. Had one nice tom sneak in behind me and pin my wife and I down, had one come in silent to 75 yds a couple days ago in the wind, no decoys out, he lost interest and left. This is the first time in 8 yrs I've carried both tags into the month of May. These birds are making me crazy.......any tips are welcomed!!

Just keep at it, my season in Indiana was rough for its short season had a lot of close encounters and sealed the deal on one with about 20 mins left of shooting time on the last night.

it doesn't take but a minute for a terrible season to turn into a good one. one thing is certain , if you give up you will not fill any tags.
