Need opinion Stoeger M3000 Turkey

I have a chance to pick one up at a good price. $500
It is the turkey model with pistol grip, d/t receiver, 24" polished barrel
It's only 3" chamber but I hate shooting 3 1/2" loads.
What kinds of numbers are you all seeing? Reliable? Recoil levels?
