Title: Food for thought
Post by: flintlockgirl on May 15, 2015, 08:56:12 PM
Well I have been kicking this around for a month now. I have a small table top lathe, I used to make small things like candle holders. Here is a little something to keep in mind if interested. Our striker roll ups comes with 5 slots. Im thinking about making some strikers(cherry, oak, maple, purpleheart, something else) and sell our roll up with 5 different strikers. I was thinking of maybe 50 dollars gets all. Any responses would be welcome on this idea. Annette

Well, I know 1 thing. The striker roll-up is nice, i've had one for several years. Usually put 2-3 in it along with a trumpet. Very good protection.
If you could make one and put 5 hand-turned strikers in there for $50, go for it, but if the quality is there, I believe you are low-balling yourself...

:agreed:. Your roll ups are great so it depends on your strikers.

The strikers are easy, I will be able to offer the exotic woods even. I see alot of guys like purple heart, I have plenty of that right now, zebrawood i have and alot more that will be available. Will have to see how things go .I havnt turned in awhile, will take a few days to get back into it.
