South Dakota. I killed this one and my brother in law killed his partner, which had a double beard. There were 6 gobblers all together and we shot the two lead birds.
Heck of a bird! Congrats! I've always wanted to shoot one of those white tipped merriams.

I'm getting him mounted. I'm torn between lengacher a taxidermy, blackwing taxidermy and hazel creek taxidermy. Decisions, decisions!

Only 3/4 or so. It would've been nice to see 1 1/4 hooks on a merriam but I'm plenty satisfied to mount this one.

If you still have not decided on a taxidermist, check out Stehlings in Jefferson, WI. Turkeys are their specialty and they do awesome work.
