Title: Help me Pick
Post by: Wingmaster on February 09, 2011, 01:26:17 PM
I've got an 870 set up with an IC .555 thats bad news on gobblers.  Trying to set up my 390 now.  I will be shooting Fed #7 and Nitro #7.  Please help me decide on a choke.  I'm not trying to win a still target comp but want solid #'s at 40.  Any suggestions.  Here is what I'm looking at but open to your opinions.
JellyHead 570
IC  555
Pure Gold 565 or 560
If you think something else is worth looking into please let me know.
Thanks

I would opt for a PG 570... It may throw slightly lower numbers but will increase your margin for error.. 555 and Nitros are tight

Here is a pattern sheet from my 3901. This was done on Jan 30th, 2011.

I would go with a .570 in a PG Tempest or IC Platinum since you mentioned the Federals.  If I hadn't got an even pattern with my .555 IC and the TSS loads I'm using I had plans to get one of these myself

Thanks,
I'm leaning now to the PG 570, how does the Jellyhead .570 compare to the PG.
