How do you take care of your box calls in the off season? Do you remove the chalk ? Zip Lock bags ect?

Thanks

I usually use a paper towel and wipe off as much chalk as I can then use a green brillo pad and lightly run it over the paddle and blow off the excess. I store all my calls in an old plastic bulk ammo can with some silica gel pack thrown in.

Wipe down the exterior with a soft cloth, then wipe the chalk off paddle. Store in a cool, dry place. I play my boxes all year, so I wipe down the paddle occasionally and rechalk.

Thanks Mike. I purchased two of your box calls this year and they were awesome!  Should I store them in zip  lock bags as well. Should I remove all chalk? I store them in my bedroom in a large plastic container.
Thanks Mike! !

Thanks Don, glad you like em! I wouldn't put them in a zip lock if you are storing them in a covered container. Just wipe off the paddles with a soft cloth, some residue on the paddle won't be a problem.
