Title: Yote kill.
Post by: captin_hook on May 09, 2015, 11:06:19 PM
My friend and I set up on a field edge, I did about 3 yelps and a series of Cutts and outta nowhere comes a yote on a dead run. He thought he was going to eat some turkey, but all he got was a dose of mag blends. Killed at 10 yards.(http://http:(http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/gg612/scotty4460/20150509_085135.jpg) (http://s1246.photobucket.com/user/scotty4460/media/20150509_085135.jpg.html)

That's what I'm talkin' about, Kill'em all! I've had 2 hunts this year busted by yotes. Three years ago I killed 2 in less than 30 seconds that charged straight at me, one at 8 yards and the other at 12. I hate them mangy critters!

You are quicker than me. I had a yote on a dead run grab my feeding hen and release almost immediately, dashing across in front of me in an instant, much too quick for me to get a shot off.

we knew that we had a gobbler in the field, we just couldn't see him yet because of the rise in the field. Our guns were up and ready, otherwise I doubt we would've killed that yote. It happened  so fast. So after the shot, I say " well that gobbler has gotta be gone, yote running through the field and a shot had to spook him." So we get up to go get the yote, and there goes ol Mr longbeard running away. He was going to walk right to us.
