The mid west Merriums were tough on me. Nice ranch. In on gobblers 3 of the 4 mornings. Had one doing the come towards me, go back to his hen. Only bird in 4 days that actually responded to the call. I was in a bad spot and moved up on him when he went the other way. Must have been seen making the move. Never heard him again.
The one day the wind didn't blow, was the only day I didn't have a bird roosted in play.
About a week left in our bow season here in Cali. Having a tough time getting out.
