What are your thoughts on using a ported barrel with the flight control wads? I called Federal yesterday and I asked them...they said I should not do it and anything that caused a loss of pressure in the barrel is not recommended.....if this is correct then I will have to use another gun with a factory choke or some other non ported aftermarket choke with a non ported barrel?

The issue of loss of pressure concerns the possibility of the Flitecontrol Wad not exiting the muzzle. A subsequent shot fired into a wad that remains in the bore would not be a good thing and could result in severe damage to the gun and/or injury to the shooter or a bystander. The very same thing can happen of course if any wad does not exit the muzzle.
It is for that reason that some choke manufacturers do not recommend shooting Flitecontrol Wad shells through their products. All ports are not created equal of course and some ports are beyond the true muzzle and have no effect on the exit of the wad.
Thanks,
Clark
Federal, are you listening? Swallow your pride and ditch that loser wad.

x2
The concept is nice but seems to limit the user to fewer choke and even gun options.
