Don't have an SXP but do have an SX3 should be similar both invector plus.Using a Sumtoy 562-5 i average a solid 180 in a 10in circle with hvwt 7's @ 40yds with a clean barrel. It's a definite turkey thumper.

I just picked up an SXP Turkey Hunter 20 ga on Saturday and am pleased with how it shot. The rear sight is setback a bit far, but I'll fix that later.(It's stuck fast with the adhesive tape from Truglo.)
IC .555 Hevi #7
2 shots @ 38 yds with both at 200
1 shot @ 43 yds 152

Factory X-full HW #6
126 38 yds

I was out of HW #7 or I would have tried them through the factory choke as well.
(Our club is set at odd ranges for some reason, but those are tape measured distances.)

I Hope this helps your buddy out.
