When the kids get out of school we were thinking of going to Kansas for a few days and was wondering how late in May would be too late to hunt Kansas and expect a good turkey hunt. Thanks
I've gone as late as memorial day and it has been great, with lots of hot lonely gobblers.

This ^. I've had great success late season.
I might be the exception. The last time I went to north central Kansas (back in 2011) late in the season around Memorial Day, the hunting was not good. It was very hot and the birds didn't gobble at all. All the motels were booked solid also, so I slept in my truck. It was probably good other years and/or in other areas of the state, but I won't go back after mid-month.
Can be hit or miss...
I think I went in 2011 too, late, hot, humid, high grass, complete waste of time...
We hit KS around the 21st of April this year, and it was pretty dry, might be good in late May this year if the grass doesn't grow too high...

Just got back from central KS, hunted hard for 4 days to two guys to limit out. Gobblers henned up bad!!! Jakes would see hen decoys w no other male competition and come a runnin. Could have limited out first day but wanted toms. I agree, watch the temps. once it hits mid 80's they lay low during the day.
