Title: Opening day Hevi metal

It was pretty cold this opening morning of the West Virginia spring turkey season.  I looked more like I was going deer hunting not turkey hunting.  But, with the help of a Frank Kruer copper with my Macassar Ebony striker and my Titanium pot with one of my Dymondwood strikers, I got my heaviest bird to date to come in after more than 2 hours of coaxing.

I even set up on the wrong side of the hill.  He came down the hill, across a small creek and up my side. 
21 pounds 3 oz.
10 7/16" beard
1 5/16" spurs.

That's a real nice bird. A couple hours working the same bird.....a lot of people would've given up.  Congrats!

Fine Tom, elaborate on the Hevi Metal if you care to.. I just picked up a Kruer Copper , needs some love but sounds pretty good even all rubbed up in different directions. West By God Virginia, I miss it and the people brother.
