Post by: Matt k on April 27, 2015, 02:00:28 PM
Anyone have or tried Russell moccasin turkey boots? I know of one guy that has had them for 20 some years and loves them.

My best friend's father has had a pair for 30 years and swears by their comfort and durability. I'm actually saving to buy some myself, I'm sick and tired of buying snake boots for $100+ and having to replace them every year. If you do end up purchasing a pair, I've been to follow their fitting process to a T though, apparently it's very important.

I have a friend that has the Turkey boots and he loves them.  I have a pair of the upland boots -- have not been overly pleased with them.  I think if I actually went to Wisconsin and had them fitted there it might have been a different story.  They have a great reputation but they're not for everyone.  Sadly, mine are sitting in a bin having been replaced by a lighter and less expensive option.  Maybe one of my boys will like them when they grow into them?
