Title: Personal best gobbler!

Well, had a very memorable hunt this morn that resulted in my biggest spurred and largest weighing turkey in 21 seasons of chasing them! This AL boss had 10 3/4in beard, 1.25in spurs, and weighed a whopping 24.5 lbs! I couldn't believe the weight as my personal best was 21.5 lbs 18 years ago.... I would have probably ponied up the money to mount him (currently have no turkeys mounted) had I not put my foot too far back on his neck after the shot and basically skinned him. He also managed to put a spur in my rubber boots and leave me some repair work to complete before next season. SUPER way to end the season...   :D

Congrats, he's a good one. I just got my best one yesterday as well, weighed about the same. They are big this year
