Here is a gobbler I harvested this morning in Arkansas. He tipped the scale at 24lb 7oz and had an 11-inch paintbrush beard. His spurs were wore down to nubs due to the rocky terrain. I shot him just before a thunderstorm hit. I have been blessed to harvest a lot of good Easterns and this is definitely one of the better birds I have taken.

I myself haven't even heard a gobble since April 11. Took a couple of the kids from Church out on the youth hunt and saw 2 gobblers and 5 jakes in a gang. Beautiful sight. Then-they shut down in my neck of the woods south of Huntsville.
