Title: One of My Best Arkansas Gobblers

Here is a gobbler I harvested this morning in Arkansas. He tipped the scale at 24lb 7oz and had an 11-inch paintbrush beard. His spurs were wore down to nubs due to the rocky terrain. I shot him just before a thunderstorm hit. I have been blessed to harvest a lot of good Easterns and this is definitely one of the better birds I have taken.

Outstanding!
I myself haven't even heard a gobble since April 11.  Took a couple of the kids from Church out on the youth hunt and saw 2 gobblers and 5 jakes in a gang.  Beautiful sight.  Then-they shut down in my neck of the woods south of Huntsville.

Called this one in with a John Sinclair Mun Ebony brass call I just got. Really a fine pot call that I would highly recommend.

Awesome! Congrats! I just posted about my personal best AL gobbler as well who tipped the scales at 24lbs 8oz... what's up with the fat eastern's this year, ha?

That is a big Arkansas gobbler.  25 pounders are tough to come by around here in these rocky hills.

After a few rough years, Arkansas birds are making a strong comeback.
