Title: My kids' Utah birds
Post by: Turkeyman11 on April 20, 2015, 10:58:12 PM
Opening morning found my daughter and I set up on a lonely gobbler.  He came in on a string but her first shot ever at a live animal went wide left.  After consoling a sad little girl we went to another spot and called this guy in.  This time she was able to connect!  Happy girl.  After returning home from New Mexico my boy and I headed out to one of our little honey holes.  We were greeted by three gobblers on the ridge gobbling their heads off.  We snuck within 100 yards of the closest one and was able to take him shortly after fly down. This is my boys' second turkey.  Probably the two funniest hunts of my life....
