I'm looking into going to the Black Hills
National Forest in South Dakota next year
And was wondering how the Turkey hunting
Was up there. I've started trying to get my
Grand Slam, by do it yourself hunts and the
Merriams next up on my list.

I had a buddy that went about an hour or two south of there a few years ago. Said the hunting was good but sometimes it was hard getting birds in all the way b/c there were some deep and steep coolies that would take a half mile to get around. He swears he called in a black faze wolf to40yards. He's killed plenty of coyotes and knows the size difference. Didnt shoot but he was getting a little worried about what would happen when he stood up. Said the temp. swing from .orning to afternoon could be pretty radical too.
