Title: Benelli M1, No 6 LBs, 3 inch, What Choke?
Post by: longbeards on April 13, 2015, 07:33:49 PM
I am going to look at switching out my choke at the end of this season. Reason being I switched to Long Beards last spring and was very happy with it. I shoot a M1 that I have a RRoberts .650 choke in, it was a unreal pattern maker with Hevi Shot Blend. I am getting 150 to 170 depending on the temp and other variables like my shooting with the LBs in no 6 shot at a lazered 40 yard target and shooting off a lead sled.
I have read that a .655 or .660 will give me a better overall pattern. What had been your experience? In insight is appreciated!  Best Longbeards,

I can't speak for long beards, but my M1 loves the SSX (.643) and hevi #7. It will put up 280-300 consistently. I was hoping to try some LOng beards out of it, but never got a chance.
