Title: Inertia Driven Question
Post by: dejake on April 13, 2015, 07:42:54 AM
I have a Franchi Affinity, inertia driven.  To make a long story short, Saturday I had to shoot left handed.  I didn't have the gun snug against my shoulder, and it failed to cycle after I fired.  First time it's ever happened.  Could it be due to the fact that the stock wasn't "anchored"?   Thanks.

It absolutely was due to that.  The gun needs some resistance to backward motion.

They will occassioanally cycle if fired without resistance, but not 100% reliably.
