Title: Gobbling Lull?
Post by: dejake on April 10, 2015, 10:09:00 AM
I'm in Delaware.  The past week, I haven't heard but one gobble.  Normally, the week or so long lull doesn't kick in for another 2-3 weeks.  Seems early this year, even though we're having a late spring (weather wise).  Is anybody else noticing this?

They haven't been gobbling well in my neck off the woods in Tennessee this past week. Things are starting to pick up though.

I've heard gobblers every morning of the season here..came in Mon. Even the last two mornings in some serious winds.

Major lull here.  Been foggy almost every morning for the last 2 weeks.  On the two days it was not, three birds gobbled their heads off and two died on my nephew's property.  Of course, I could not hunt either day.

Been slow lately down here too hearing birds gobble once or twice in the tree then nothing been seeing some lone hens periodically so I know they are laying eggs just haven't started sitting on nest for extended periods yet.
