I have been out and heard a few here in Richmond VA area!! Anyone really hearing them fired up yet?
My uncle took a kid out youth season and said they were henned up pretty bad in southern VA
I took my son out Saturday morning and the wind was blowing REALLY hard until 3 P.M.
I heard a single gobble around 9, and saw a single Tom and single Hen in the afternoon.
been going the last couple of weekends and listening to them gobble. took my daughter Saturday morning, but it was way to windy. the blind was upside down when we got there. we heard 5 and she was excited just to hear them. they did not co-operate. been seeing them strutting in some of the fields near the house on the way to work. good luck to everyone this weekend. :turkey2:
Gobbling pretty good around here, both on roost and on the ground. Seen a lot more gobblers with hens. Seems the groups of gobblers are breaking up, they are pretty henned up when they hit the ground. Hearing reports of birds getting fired up late in the morning.
Been hearing a few, we'll see tomorrow if they will work or not. Good luck guys.
